As a simple screen, if you do not feel well-rested despite regularly getting sufficient time in bed (7-9h), then your likelihood of having a sleep disorder (such as obstructive sleep apnea) is not low, and thus merits evaluation. The added presence of daytime sleepiness, snoring, teeth grinding/clenching overnight, frequent urination at night, high blood pressure, or blood sugar issues only further increase the likelihood of sleep pathology.

At SomnoCare, we offer state-of-the-art in-home sleep testing that is delivered to your door, and can be self-applied in roughly 30 minutes. In-home level-2 polysomnography (L2-PSG) provides a level of detail equivalent that of an in-hospital level-1 sleep study (L1 PSG), but from the comfort of your own home. As compared to a night in the sleep lab, the L2-PSG allows for a sleep assessment that is convenient, comfortable, and more representative of a typical night in bed.

Our clinical appointments at SomnoCare focus not just on treating sleep-apnea, but all aspects of your sleep and circadian health. To accomplish these goals, our appointments are 30-50% longer than those provided by typical sleep clinics. These standard sleep clinic appointments are primarily focused on the treatment of sleep apnea and do not take the time to help you with the behavioural changes require to optimize your circadian health (and thus your healthspan).
